It’s been a while since I shot a video for the site, but this weekend I decided to change that.
In this video I talk a little bit about how I use a cork board to beat out my stories before I get into more detailed outlining.
It’s not a method that will work for everyone, but if you’re a visual person like I am it might be something you want to take a stab at.
Keep writing,
-Steve

Cool. I’ve found the board a nice tool. And it’s just kinda fun to play with.

Pretty cool, Steve. I also imagine you can always just keep a few of those cards on you, in case a scene pops into your head at work or something.
I may try something like this should I ever try another screenplay. I outline, of course, and am a structure fiend, but this is such a more pliable way to play with that outline. And it’s flexibility allows for some quick and easy, “Hey, what if…?” playing around with beats/scenes.
Please keep us informed with updates on how this works and its progress.

Yeah, I’ve tinkered with note cards in the past, but until I put this together I never really “got it,” if you know what I mean.
