Shane Black Bringing Doc Savage To The Big Screen?

As has been covered here many times, I’m a HUGE mark for screenwriter/actor/director Shane Black. I think “Lethal Weapon” is one of the best action flicks of all time (rivaled ONLY by Die Hard), and probably the best buddy cop movie of all time. So it brought a smile to my face when I read over at JoBlo this morning that the man himself might be brining Doc Savage to the big screen sometime in the near future.

For those who aren’t familiar with Doc Savage, hit up this link for the Wikipedia primer on him. Basically he’s the muscled, tanned, super smart, renaissance man that every major super hero int he last 100 years or so has been based on or inspired from. And he has a bunch of dudes that travel with him called the “Fabulous Five.” I mean, these guys were The A-Team before the guys who created The A-Team were even born.

Anyway, this type of subject matter is right up Shane’s alley, and I’m waiting with baited breath for this flick to his the cinemas. It’ll be a few years, but I can barely wait.

Until next time, keep writing!
