Le Samourai

I just watched Le Samourai, a 1967 French flick directed and written by Jean-Pierre Melville. It was a pretty interesting movie, but VERY French. Slow. Meticulous. With a constant build toward the end.

If you want to know what hitman movies were like before the 1980s action genre took hold of them, I’d encourage you to check this flick out. If not for anything else, to see something outside of the Hollywood method that has that classy 1960s euro vibe and style to it.
