You Never Know

Inspiration is a weird thing.

Tonight I sat down to help out my friend Peter with the outline for his screenplay. While we were going over the key points of Act 2A and Act 2B, and I was talking at length about the mid point of a screenplay, I had a moment of clarity.

It’s probably because I was talking scripts, and a little relaxed, and not working on my own project that I had the moment. But when it hit, I opened up some programs and got to work jotting things down.

I went back and forth with Peter a good portion of the night. After each response I’d come up with something new. This went back and forth for a good portion of the evening. And when everything was said and done I’d developed, or at least planted the seeds, of all of Act 2, and Act 3.

With some more work this weekend I could very well have all of the key beats of the script down, and just have the finer details to work out.

You never know when inspiration is going to hit. But when it does, jump on it.

Until next time, keep writing!
