The End of An Era

Steve Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple today. The end of his tenure marks the best decade that company has ever seen. To say this is the end of the “Jobs Era” at Apple is an understatement.

I’m not going to wax poetic about a man I didn’t know. But like it or not the company he founded and ran impacts your life on a daily basis. You may be loathe to admit it, but that statement is true. And it will likely be true for the foreseeable future.

Jobs has done a lot of things in his life, but if there is one thing he’s never done… it’s settle. And has some very good reasons why no one else should either. If you’re an aspiring screenwriter, and you’ve thought of giving it up, watch this video of Job’s 2005 commencement speech to Stanford.

Keep writing.

  1. WOW – Powerful! Not quite sure what he meant by his closing wish for the Graduates “Stay hungry, stay foolish.”
