I have some sort of critter who’s set up shop in my garage. I wouldn’t even know it was there if it didn’t decide to start chewing on the weather stripping around my garage door.

I first noticed the chewing yesterday. I checked all the normal hiding spots a critter could hide: corners, boxes, piles of stuff. But no joy. I didn’t see anything. Then tonight I actually heard it chewing on the weather stripping while I was writing.

I opened the door hoping to see what it was…

But instead of something cute like that all I saw was a quiet garage… not a critter or varmint to be seen.

I don’t want the critter getting into the house so I stayed the area it was chewing on with bug spray. I’m hoping that it’s enough to make it avoid chewing on that area for now.

In the meantime, I’m going to head to Home Depot tomorrow to get some sort of humane trap. I don’t want to kill the thing, but I don’t need it getting into the house and possibly biting the dogs either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Until next time, keep writing!
