Hey, That’s Eddie!

I’ve talked a few times about my friend Eddie Davenport before. You don’t realize it, but you’ve seen him a shit ton of times in the movies you’ve watched. Eddie is a stuntman and has recently moved into the motion capture world as well.

Variety has an article that mentions the rise of motion capture actors, and Eddie is plugged pretty hard by Erik Nash, visual effects supervisor for the movie “Real Steel“:

“It was remarkable to see because they were so well rehearsed and so dead in sync. We knew as we shot it the sequence was going to be terrific. Hugh could go through the punch sequence as fast as he wanted and Eddie was right with him.”

Unfortunately, when I was out in L.A. this summer we weren’t able to get together. IT was a bummer. When Eddie and I would get drunk at our fraternity house we’d grab some of the smaller guys and practice wrestling moves on them. Now the guy works with Hugh Jackman. My how things have changed!

Keep killing it Eddie!

Keep writing!
