The Secret of Success

I watched the documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” tonight. Within the first fifteen minutes I was floored by this quote:

Once you decide on your occupation… you must immerse yourself in your work.

You have to fall in love with your work.

Never complain about your job.

You must dedicate your life to mastering your skill.

That’s the secret of success… and is the key to being regarded honorably.

-Jiro Ono

If this isn’t true about your current career, you’re doing it wrong.

Don’t feel too bad about that, most people fall into the “doing it wrong” category too.

The question is, what are you doing to change it?

Keep writing,
-Steve
